Terms and Conditions

PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS thanks you for trusting in its services. 

Please read this document carefully, as by using the services of PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS you are accepting these terms of use as a customer. 

1. Ownership

2. Definitions

User: a visitor to this website or the service who is not a registered user. 

Client: individual, or if applicable, the company or other legal entity they represent who request any service from PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS regardless of the channel. In the specific case of web services, this refers to visitors who are also registered. 

Service: all websites services, applications and related technology, and translation services, post-editing services, proofreading services, content transcreation services, voice-over services, transcription services, transcription services, pairing services and in general any service provided by PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS to the customer. 

Order: any request for services created by a client, and accepted by PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS, by means of an acknowledgement of receipt on the web platform or by e-mail.

3. Authorized users

Access to and use of the website attributes to the user the condition of user, accepting, from that very moment, fully and without reservation, these general conditions as well as the particular conditions that, where appropriate, complement, modify or replace the general conditions in relation to certain services and contents offered by PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS. The user who accepts these general conditions on behalf of the client declares and guarantees that he/she has sufficient capacity to adequately represent the client in this contract, that he/she is of legal age and in full use of his/her mental capacities.

4. Compliance with general conditions

The customer shall request and use the services of PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS in full compliance with these general terms and conditions.


5. Ordering and approval

Payment: except for conditions and agreements agreed between the customer and PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS, during the creation of the order, the customer must proceed to pay 50% of the order to the bank account and payment method provided by PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS. PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS will not start to process the order until it has confirmation of payment from the customer. Payment is non-refundable. Payment to PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS must be made in immediately available funds, without any deduction or set-off and free of any taxes, levies, imports, duties, fees, charges, duties and withholdings of any nature now or hereafter imposed by any governmental, fiscal or other authority. If the customer is required to pay taxes or any other levies, the customer shall pay to PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS such additional amounts as may be necessary to ensure that PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS receives the full amount it would have received.


Quotation and order: to place an order or request a quotation, you must provide PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS with all the information necessary for the performance of the service, including but not limited to the customer's material data and all data necessary for the correct performance of the service via email to


Client materials: the client is responsible for providing the client's materials to be translated, materials describing the context of the translation, and all other necessary materials (guide, glossary, etc.) when placing the order. PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS may make recommendations as to what basic materials are necessary to perform the required service and in what format these should be provided. The quality of the results will depend on the clarity, accuracy and completeness of the client's basic materials and the instructions provided.

Cancellations: The client may cancel any order if the project has not yet been assigned and/or started. To cancel an order, you must contact PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS customer service at to see if the order can be cancelled. If the order has been started, it cannot be cancelled and no refund can be claimed.


Finished work: PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS will refund the finished work obtained as a result of the service provided to the customer in accordance with the level of quality foreseen in the order. PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS will estimate an expected time for completion of the service, but cannot guarantee the exact time of delivery. PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS will inform you by e-mail when the finished work is ready for review.

Approval or rejection: after delivery of the finished work resulting from PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS' services through any channel, the client will have 15 days to review the work resulting from the services provided by PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS. If the client does not inform us within the 15-day review period, the work delivered shall be considered correct and accepted by the client. Alternatively, the customer may reject the work received within the 15-day review period if it reasonably determines that it does not meet the contracted level of quality. If PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS determines that the work resulting from the services rejected by the customer does not meet the quality level specified in the order, then PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS will correct and resubmit the work within a reasonable period of time. The responsibility of PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS shall be limited to correcting such errors.


Responsibility: the customer agrees to review any work that has been obtained through the services provided by PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS SC before making the content public. The customer expressly agrees that PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS shall have no liability or indemnification obligation to the customer for work obtained as a result of services provided by PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS.

6. Conditions of access to the website

Access to the website is free of charge. However, the use of certain services may require prior registration and/or contracting and, where appropriate, authentication by entering a user name and password.

When for the access to certain contents or for the use of some service it is necessary to provide personal data, the users will guarantee their truthfulness, accuracy, authenticity and validity. 

7. Exclusion of liability

Access to the Prosodia Translations website does not imply any obligation on the part of the owner to verify the truthfulness, accuracy, adequacy, suitability, completeness and timeliness of the information provided through it. The contents of the site are of a general and informative nature and do not constitute the provision of a service, so the owner is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the information. 

The website may contain links to other third-party websites that PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS cannot control. Therefore, PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS cannot assume responsibility for the content that may appear on third party sites.

8. Intellectual and industrial property

The texts, images, sounds, videos, animations, fonts, logo, brand, name and other contents included in this website are the exclusive property of PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS or its licensors. Any act of transmission, distribution, transfer, reproduction, storage or total or partial public communication must have the express consent of PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS.
Modification, reproduction, duplication, copying, copying, distribution, sale, resale and other forms of exploitation for commercial or equivalent purposes are prohibited without the express written consent of PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS. 

9. Privacy Policy

Likewise, in order to access some of the services that PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS offers through the website, you will have to provide some personal data. In compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, we inform you that by filling in these forms, your personal data will be stored and processed in the files of PROSODIA TRANSLATIONS in order to provide and offer you our services and to inform you of improvements to the website. We also inform you, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 20 and 21 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, that the data you provide will be used to make subsequent commercial communications about our products and services that may be of interest to you, without prejudice to the right you have to revoke at any time the consent given to receive commercial communications, by writing to the above address. 

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

This legal notice and the terms and conditions are governed by Spanish law. To the extent permitted by law, the parties expressly waive any other jurisdiction to which they may be entitled and agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of the city of Burgos.
